Illustrator spotlight: Nadia Flower

By Nadia Flower using watercolours.
On of my most favorite of her pieces.
Nadia Flower has to have one of the most appealing and inspirational style of Illustration that I enjoy, I have been following her work for some time now and she continues to impress me. Nadia has soft delicate yet graphic style to her work and also works with a variety of mediums, fine art painting to fashion and textile, as well as illustration for the editorial and advertising markets. Nadia has worked with a number of high end clients such as GHD hair, ASOS, Diet coke, Lily Allen and has her own web page including an online store to sell prints http://www.nadiaflower.com/

The thing that has to stand out most for me in her designs is the amazing use of watercolours, Her talent with this medium is really unique and uplifting to look at. Another thing that stands out to me is her illustration work on the characters she produces, Lack of facial features and minimal shading creates an almost lost and mysterious look to her characters adding some emotion and life to each individual one.

Not only is Nadia an amazing Illustrator her use of typography and textiles also connects with her over all over all style creating beautiful pieces, Overall Nadia has to be one of my most interested in illustrators and I will continue to follow her work.
